Impeachment Hearings Day Three. Now What?

Issue Advocacy and Activist Groups and Concerned Citizens Weigh In

RALEIGH – President Donald Trump pushed Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 election. He withheld U.S. military aid and a White House meeting to pressure Ukraine to launch a sham investigation into a 2020 political rival in order to hurt his candidacy.

More than six witnesses have corroborated the same set of facts: President Trump would only meet the President of Ukraine and release US military assistance if he got something of value for himself. That’s bribery. He was using his public office for his personal benefit. The Constitution is very clear that bribery is an impeachable offense:

“The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

Tomorrow in Raleigh, grassroots activist groups, issue advocacy organizations and concerned citizens will gather together to bring awareness to the third day of impeachment hearings. North Carolina needs support from Senator Tillis to hold the President accountable!
