Dear Senator Tillis,
There is now overwhelming evidence that president Trump is acting under the influence of Putin. We all know why he is doing this. For years his finances have been entangled with organized crime and Russian oligarchs. This started years before the election, and it is for this reason that his foreign and domestic policy decisions are in Putin’s interest. This is completely plain to anyone who cares to look, and we are sure that you are aware of this. We know that you were briefed, as a Senator, on the fact that the Ukraine story was a lie cooked up by Putin. The fact that Trump is continuing to promote this lie on national television and in emails and advertisements is no longer surprising. We have come to expect lies and criminal behavior from this man. However the willingness of the Attorney General of the United States and of Senators including you to support and defend him is so horrifying that we must continue to protest, to write to you and call you, and to beg you to wake up.
Do you really expect us to believe that the honorable people who testified under oath are lying and the people who are breaking the law by ignoring subpoenas are telling the truth? Do you really want to support a president who exonerates a service member who has committed war crimes, destroying the morale and discipline of our troops and causing the Secretary of the Navy to resign in protest? Do you really want to support a president who endangers the national security of the United States with nearly every major decision he makes, when every decision is clearly in the interest of Mr. Putin?
Who are you serving, Senator Tillis? Have you been bought by Mr. Putin too? This president must be impeached. You must stop defending him before it is too late. Our country will not survive another year of this president and his reckless and criminal behavior.
